This year's Women's Twenty20 Challenge edition will be held in Pune, India, from May 23 to May 28. Three teams - Supernovas, Trailblazers and Velocity - participate in the women's IPL tournament.

Salma Khatun and Jahanara Alam, two cricketers of the Bangladesh women's cricket team, have played in this tournament for the last two years. Asking for Salma Khatun, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has contacted the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the first time this year.

Salma Khatun played for the Trailblazers last year, and all-rounder Jahanara Alam's address was Velocity. The BCCI is looking for Sharmin Akhter Supta, who scored her first half-century for the country in women's cricket, along with Salma, despite not contacting Jahanara this time.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board, the country's top governing body for cricket, has already given NOC to the two cricketers to play in the tournament.

Despite the opportunity to play in the IPL, the teams of these two cricketers have not been selected yet. The BCCI will choose their team. Shafiul Islam Chowdhury Nadel, chairman of the women's section of the BCB, said, "In the beginning, the BCCI only asked us for Salma. But recently, they have contacted Supta again. Based on that, we have already given a no-objection letter to both of them. The BCCI will decide who will play for which team.

The tournament started in 2018 with only two teams. In the next edition, however, the BCCI has added another team. The first two of the three events have been won by Supernovas, the last event champion Trailblazers.
