The controversy over Virat Kohli's off-form, the poster boy of Indian cricket, does not stop. In the beginning, he was suffering from a century drought but recently he is suffering from a run drought. At this moment, many experts are giving different opinions about Kohli. India's World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev has said that the out-of-form Kohli should be dropped from the team.

Kapil demanded to give a chance to all the youngsters who are performing with the bat in his place. On the other hand, Australia's World Cup-winning captain Ricky Ponting strongly opposed Kapil's comments. He feels that being left out of the World Cup squad will be a big blow to Kohli's confidence.

Cricket fans have been divided into two groups by such different statements of two big icons of the cricket world. However, former Indian pacer Ajit Agarkar supported Ponting's statement. Expressing solidarity with Ponting's opinion, he said, ''Bad times can come in life. All great cricketers have had this bad time."

Agarkar also said the ODI World Cup will be held next year. If Kohli can overcome his lack of form, then he will have some time before the World Cup. But you never want Kohli to be out of form for a long time. Many people are asking to drop Kohli due to his poor form. But at the moment, it is too early to say this.'

Talking about Ponting's statement, Agarkar also said, '"Ponting's words are absolutely true. That's why I think the talk of dropping Kohli is getting rushed. It is not easy to play international cricket after playing IPL for two months. But in a stage like the World Cup, if the Indian team loses 2 wickets early, you will want an in-form Kohli."

Agarkar remarked that Kohli knows how to bat under pressure. Yes, it's true that other cricketers are performing well. That doesn't mean you always raise questions about Kohli.
