Karan wants to fill the gap of Stokes

England Test captain Ben Stokes has retired from ODI cricket a few days ago. Sam Karan can not accept it. The young English all-rounder said that he grew up watching Stokes' game. He even said that he tried to imitate Stokes' game.

Meanwhile, with Stokes retiring from ODIs, a big gap has already been created in the England team. Karan wants to fill this gap. However, this 24-year-old all-rounder does not want to think about what will happen in the future. For now, he is focusing on playing his own game with power.

In this context, Karan said, ''I grew up watching Stokes play. I also wanted to copy him. His retirement is a great loss for us. The boys will miss him. But whenever I play, I don't see what's ahead. I will just try to contribute with bat-ball.''

Karan also said, ''I tried to follow the way he (Stokes) plays and practices. He is now retired from ODIs, but he has become an England legend. But I will always be positive. Joss has given me and the team a message, that the team will miss Stokes a lot.''
