The performance of Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in India's recent Test victory over Sri Lanka in Mohali has propelled him to the top of the ICC Men's Test Player Rankings. With the bat, Jadeja achieved his unbeaten 175. This result has moved him up to 37th place from 54th. While with the ball, he grabbed nine wickets to jump higher to 17th place.

Jadeja's all-round performance was enough to reclaim the number one all-rounder position from Jason Holder, who had held it since February 2021. Jadeja's lone other stint at the top was in August 2017, when he held the position for a week.

Virat Kohli, the former India captain, has climbed two places to No. 5 in the Test batting rankings, where Australia's Marnus Labuschagne leads with 936 points. The other Indian batsmen in the Top 10 are Rohit Sharma (6th) and Rishabh Pant (10th).

The Rawalpindi Test between Pakistan and Australia was a batting feast, with Imam-ul-Haq scoring a century in each innings to rise to a career high of 63rd place with 477 points.

His teammate Azhar Ali hit 185 to climb ten positions to twelve. Meanwhile, Abdullah Shafique scored a second-innings century to climb 27 spots to 67. Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne was removed for 90 runs short of a century. However, that was enough to raise his batting rating to 936 and put him in 12th place on the all-time list of highest-ever batting ratings.

Usman Khawaja dipped into the 90s as well. However, he maintained his comeback with the bat, rising six spots to 24th, his highest peak in 3 years. In the bowling department, Pakistan's Nauman Ali excelled with numbers of 6-107 in Australia's opening innings, propelling him up 19 positions to 51.

While the top 12 batters in T20I cricket remain constant, Afghanistan's Hazratullah Zazai is joint thirteenth, after his unbeaten 59 in the second match against Bangladesh at Mirpur guaranteed a shared series win. Liton Das shined for the hosts in the first match with a score of 60, helping him climb 26 positions to 49th overall throughout the duration of the series. Nasum Ahmed has broken into the top 10 bowlers for the first time, owing to his 'Player of the Match' effort of 4-10 in the opening match.
