Andar Bahar, also known as Katti in India, is a simple but popular card game originated in
India and has recently exploded in popularity online and in live casinos. Although the
game's premise makes it very exciting to play, the main reason for its success is its
simplicity.
It won't take your time to learn how to play Andar Bahar, and with the
help of the following guide, you'll be up and running in no time. The fundamentals of the
game are straightforward to grasp.
The games begin with the dealer dealing one
face-up card to each player and placing it in the centre of the table in front of them. The
game card is the face-up card that determines how the round will be played and when it will
end.
The player is then allowed to position his wager. The objective is to guess
which side – andar or bahar – the following card with the same value will appear
on.
The dealer then deals one card at a time on either side of the table until a card
with the equal value as the game card has been dealt. If the player bets on andar and the
same-valued card is dealt on andar, he wins; however, he loses if the same-valued card is
dealt on the bahar hand.
Example:
A dealer deals a 5 as the game card, and
the player wagers that the next card dealt on the bahar side will be a 5. The dealer then
deals one card on the bahar side and one on the andar side, followed by a 5 on the bahar
side after a few cards have been dealt.
This indicates that the player has won the
round. The player would have lost if the 5 had been dealt on the andar hand.
*Dealing
begins on the Andar side if the first card dealt (the game card) has a black suit, and on
the Bahar side, the first card dealt has a red suit.
