The Indian Premier League 2021 will
restart on September 19 in the United Arab Emirates. All eight teams have started their
preparations. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) enjoyed a solid first half of the IPL,
winning five games and sitting comfortably in 3rd place in the points table.
Their team is gradually arriving in the UAE, with Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj arriving on Monday. On September 20, they will face the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2021. The RCB, on the other hand, will not wear their signature red jerseys. Instead, they wear blue to honour the frontline troops for their selfless duty throughout the COVID-19 pandemic's difficult moments.
RCB is known for supporting efforts and noble causes, as the squad wears a green shirt every year to raise money for environmental reasons. And this year, the team wants to wear blue to set an example.
When it comes to the RCB team, they had to deal with the absence of players like Finn Allan, Adam Zampa, Kane Richardson, and Daniel Sams in the UAE leg. However, they have managed to cover the void by bringing in Sri Lankan duo Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera, and Tim David. Virat Kohli is looking forward to working with new teammates in the UAE leg.

We at RCB are honoured to sport the Blue kit, that resembles the colour of the PPE kits of the frontline warriors, to pay tribute to their invaluable service while leading the fight against the Covid pandemic.#PlayBold #1Team1Fight pic.twitter.com/r0NPBdybAS
