This T20 World Cup has been incredible for Pakistan, and not just because of their cricketing prowess. This year's team has exhibited the true essence of grace and sportsmanship. The Men in Green have repeatedly demonstrated that the sport is about more than just winning games – it is also about winning hearts.

Pakistan’s recent victory over Namibia qualified them for the semi-finals, and the team celebrated by visiting the Namibia locker room to compliment the athletes on their World Cup adventure.

We saw wonderful moments like Shaheen Afridi and David Wiese hugging and The Professor, Muhammad Hafeez, offering batter Craig Williams suggestions on gloves. There were selfies, grins, and hugs, and the atmosphere was very positive.

Namibia also expressed gratitude to Pakistan on their official social media Tweeter for their visit and support.

People have praised the thoughtful effort, including Shehbaz Sharif, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly. The truth is, when it comes to the Men in Green, most Pakistanis have heart eyes nowadays. Yet what we like best about these demonstrations, modest as they are, is that they prove to the world that Pakistan is a power to be reckoned with, both on and off the ground. In addition, the Pakistani team's humility in approaching this year's T20 World Cup has found fame all around the world.

When Frylinck slipped and both Babar and Rizwan rushed to check on him, they received a lot of applause, but not nearly as much as the changing room visit. While Pakistanis have always been proud of the Men in Green, it appears that the team has gained new supporters around the world this year.

If there's one lesson we should learn from this world championship, it's that sportsmanship and compassion are more important than winning, whether it's Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni greeting and hugging Pakistani players after losing to them recently or the Pakistan team visiting the Namibian changing room.

This year's team has been recognized for their overall demeanours and remarks. People hold our cricket players up as heroes, and we trust that, in addition to their cricket skills, they try to replicate their courteous and respectful attitude at this year's World Cup. They're demonstrating what true sportsmanship entails, and we couldn't be more pleased.
