Former Pakistan cricketer, Saqlain Mushtaq, will remain as Pakistan's interim head coach. He will stay with the team for the upcoming West Indies series, which begins on December 13th. The team will travel to Pakistan for a 15 days tour to play T20 and ODI matches.

PCB had named Saqlian Mushtaq the head coach for the T20 World Cup 2021, which was a significant step. Before this, The famed off-spinner was the National High-Performance Centre's Head of International Player Development.

Mushtaq was the key member of the side during his playing days, taking 208 Test wickets and 288 ODI wickets. He went on to coach various teams after hanging up his boots. As a spin bowling coach and consultant, he has worked with England, West Indies, and New Zealand teams. Because of his background, he was appointed as the team's interim head coach for the high-profile competition.

The board has yet to officially announce the team's bowling and batting instructors for the next series. During the Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches, the board is likely to decide on a permanent Pakistan head coach. According to reports, this might happen in January and February. The Australian squad will visit Pakistan in March of the following year. As a result, ahead of this high-profile series, PCB is anticipated to name the long-term head coach of the Pakistan team.
