Virat Kohli was given the option of
resigning as India's ODI captain willingly, but he refused to do so. It caused the BCCI to take
matters into their own hands by removing him from his duties.
The claim comes only hours after the BCCI confirmed Rohit Sharma as Team India's new ODI captain in a short social media post. Virat Kohli was always going to lose his ODI captaincy after stepping down from the T20I leadership ahead of the T20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman earlier this year.
