After the PCB incorporates new adjustments into the financial scheme, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises will finally be happy. The new PCB chairman, Ramiz Raja, has done an outstanding job thus far in laying the groundwork for the game's development in the country, and the PSL's financial troubles have been a hot topic for quite some time.

Certain franchises, including Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, and Islamabad, will benefit significantly from the new model because they have been paying less than Multan Sultans or Lahore Qalandars. The central revenue pool has been expanded under the new model since the PCB board has chosen to pay the franchises 95% of the money due to the concerns.

The initial worth of the PSL brand was roughly PKR 75,000, but it has already risen to around PKR 1.3 million. PCB reportedly paid PKR 4,350,786,786 for television rights and PKR 3.5 billion for title sponsorship rights. The live-streaming rights have increased by 175%, significant for the tournament's future appeal.

Despite taking the Television rights expenses, the Karachi Kings are expected to make a significant profit under the new strategy. These advantages were only achievable because of Ramiz's inclusion on the PCB committee, which had previously granted franchisees relatively low returns. Many international players will now consider participating in the competition since the cash rewards appear lucrative.

The PSL 2021-2022 season will occur from the 27th of January to the 27th of February. The defending champions Karachi Kings will face the Multan Sultans in the first match. Due to the present Covid-19 scenario worsening, the competition will be held in Lahore and Karachi. As he previously stated, Shahid Afridi, who is 46 years old, will play in the PSL this season.
